A Grateful Heart Christmas Fundraising Event
Grateful Heart Animal Sanctuary in Big Bear City would like to announce our first Grateful Heart Christmas Fundraising Event!
Come join our rescued farm animals, elves and Santa and Mrs. Claus as we celebrate the holiday season with love and joy in our hearts!
We understand that many people from our wonderful mountain community are disappointed that holiday events have been cancelled this year. We wish to do something to bring the spirit of joy, love, peace and hope to our community.
There will be hot chocolate and S'mores for everyone. We will have craft tables where you can make "slime" and decorate a Christmas ornament. Step into our Christmas Wonderland and take pictures with our goats and pigs. Have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Santa will be waiting to hear what your Christmas wish is! We may not have reindeer but we do have burros! All this is included for a minimum donation of $10.00 per person.
There is limited parking on the sanctuary grounds, so in order to allow the most opportunity for our community to attend we have decided to have two sessions a day. The first session of the day will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. The second session will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The event will take place the first three Saturdays of December. When you reserve your parking space please be sure to choose the date and session you wish to attend. There will be 15 parking spaces available per session. When you reserve your space on our ticket link the $10.00 donation includes one parking space for one car and entry for one person. We are not limiting the number of people per carload, only the number of parking spaces. Additional people in your car who wish to attend can pay the $10.00 minimum donation per person at the gate. We will have a list of names of the people who have reserved their parking space. Only people on the list and those in their car will be allowed entry. OUT OF RESPECT FOR OUR NEIGHBORS, PARKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE RESIDENTIAL DIRT ROADS BY THE SANCTUARY. WALK-INS WILL NOT BE GIVEN ENTRY TO THE EVENT.
Grateful Heart Animal Sanctuary is located on private residential property. Please respect the privacy and property of the residents that live there.
You will be receiving an email with a participant waiver attached that each person must fill out, sign and bring with them at the time of the event. A Parent or Legal Guardian must sign for minors under the age of 18. We cannot allow entry without the signed participant waivers. The address for Grateful Heart Animal Sanctuary will be on this waiver.
This is a fundraising event for Grateful Heart Animal Sanctuary which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is 100% volunteer run. Our mission is to rescue farm animals that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or are otherwise at risk. All proceeds go directly towards caring for the animals we take in and keeping the sanctuary operating to be able to help these animals. We operate solely on the generous contributions of our donors. In the future we aspire to have programs for people with special needs, our Veterans, seniors, people suffering from depression or loneliness as well as having educational programs and day camps for children.
