Bird Walks with Chirp Nature Center
Join Chirp Nature Center from 1:00 – 1:45 PM for a FREE, entertaining, and educational virtual bird-watching event. Due to the current pandemic, Chirp’s regular in-person monthly Bird Walks have been put on temporary hold. But thanks to the wonders of technology, Chirp can still provide a similar virtual experience from the comfort of your home.
During Chirp’s Virtual Bird Walk, birdwatchers of all levels of experience will observe and identify local Big Bear Lake birds, learn bird watching tips, and enjoy Big Bear’s unique natural setting. With the help of live in-the-forest “bird spotters,” participants will have a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with nature via teleconference.
After the virtual bird walk, participants will have an opportunity to demonstrate what they learned and win prizes by taking the Virtual Bird Walk Quiz. Everyone who participates will get a free gift mailed to them, and one lucky winner will receive a free bird feeder. Participants can join the virtual meeting. Please check the official event pages on https://chirpforbirds.com/events-in-big-bear-lake/ for details.
