Chirp Nature Center's Virtual Bird Talks
Join Chirp each month between May and October for educational bird-watching walks exploring birding hot spots throughout the Big Bear Valley and San Bernardino National Forest. These walks provide birdwatchers at all levels of experience an opportunity to observe and identify local Big Bear birds, learn good birding locations, and enjoy Big Bear’s unique natural setting.
On the third Saturday of each month between May and October, Chirp also hosts virtual bird-focused talks featuring special guest speakers. Each of the free hour-long presentations highlights a particular nature-themed topic and provides expert insights from noteworthy authors, scientists, and naturalists. The interactive talks will be streamed live at 10 am on the Chirp Nature Centers Facebook page and Chirp Nature Centers YouTube channel.
Chirp’s free nature talks are scheduled with the following themes:

June 19 – Wacky Woodpeckers
