Name: Chirp Nature Center's In-Person Bird Walks
Date: May 1, 2021
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM PDT
Event Description:

Join Chirp each month between May and October for educational bird-watching walks exploring birding hot spots throughout the Big Bear Valley and San Bernardino National Forest. These walks provide birdwatchers at all levels of experience an opportunity to observe and identify local Big Bear birds, learn good birding locations, and enjoy Big Bear’s unique natural setting.

For more experienced birders, the bird walks provide a chance to get out and practice identification skills, and share knowledge with fellow nature enthusiasts. In-person bird walks leave from Chirp Nature Center, last approximately an hour and a half, and sometimes include moderate walking or hiking. Participants carpool as needed, with an Adventure Pass (available at Chirp) recommended, but not necessary. All ages are welcome. Locations vary each month depending on local conditions. Complimentary refreshments, an opportunity to discuss the experience, ask questions, and enjoy the company of your fellow birders will be provided at Chirp upon return. Chirp’s free in-person walks are the first Saturday of the month between May and October. They leave from Chirp (40850 Village Drive, Big Bear Lake, California 92315) at 8 am, sharp, and are scheduled for:
