Chirp Nature Center's Virtual Bird Walks

Join Chirp each month between Mayand October for educational bird watching walks exploring birding hot spots throughout the Big Bear Valley and San Bernardino National Forest. These walks provide birdwatchers at all levels of experience an opportunity to observe and identify local Big Bear birds, learn good birding locations, and enjoy Big Bear’s unique natural setting.

For more experienced birders, the bird walks provide a chance to get out and practice identification skills, and share knowledge with fellow nature enthusiasts.

Just like Chirp’s birds walk, but from the comfort of a couch via a digital device, virtual on-line bird walks are streamed live the second Wednesday of the month between May and October. After watching, the participants will have an opportunity to demonstrate what they learned and win prizes by taking a Virtual Bird Walk Quiz. Chirp’s free 30 minute virtual bird walks will be streamed live at 5pm via the Chirp Nature Centers Facebook page and Chirp Nature Centers YouTube channel.
