On our “kids table,” you will find reasonably priced items including Hematite from the High Desert, with a peacock/rainbow sheen from its aluminium phosphate coating.
You'll also find:
* Petrified wood from Arizona, Utah and the rare black from Wyoming, no longer available;
* Faceted gemstones including pairs for ear rings and larger stones – deep red garnet, golden citrine, pale lemon quartz and rose quartz, smoky quartz and glorious blue topaz, and faceted tourmaline gems from San Diego.
Whenever possible, items are purchased directly from the mine or from the collector/rockhound, including:
*Turquoise from Kingman; *Fire agate and Geodes (cut and uncut) from Slaughter Mountain and Deer Creek; *Smoky Quartz from Hallelujah Junction in northern California; and a variety of Calcite.
